Acupuncture: a promising treatment for depression during pregnancy
This study was conducted thru Stanford University. The goal of the study was to assess acupuncture as a method to lower depression in pregnant women. The outcome was that women who received acupuncture during pregnancy and the postpartum period had significantly lower depression scores at 10 weeks postpartum. Both Andrew and Khim were assessors for this study.
Antihypertensive drug therapy for mild to moderate hypertension during pregnancy
This review of 49 trials, involving 4723 women, found there was not enough evidence to show the benefit of antihypertensive drugs for mild to moderate hypertension during pregnancy.
